Why one B?
I have had many people ask me “Why only one B?” It has also been pointed out to me that "rabbit has two b's". I have always replied “Yes, but not this one”.
I am dyslexic and honest. Instead of saying that I originally intended that my rabit was to be spelt with only one b, I will admit that it was originally an honest mistake. However, after consideration I decided to leave it with only the one b. My reasoning is simple, my dyslexic spelling is special and part of who I am and so the spelling of White Rabit connects this project to me.
The name White Rabit Project came about due to my first interest in 'Alice in Wonderland' by CS Lewis. Alice follows the white rabbit and is taken on an adventure. My later research took me the 'The Matrix' again in this a white rabbit leads the character Neo to Trinity and there an adventure begins.
I thought that this would be a fitting name for my project, because I have been investigating stories involving white rabbits through this year-long adventure which has led me to create an altered reality within my installation.
