Print & Design
This project has needed several elements of print and design. The presentation boards and artefacts inside the installation.
The boards have been created in Illustrator and show the development that White Rabit has gone through, including the research, as well as the project plans.
The artefacts inside the installation include, magazine covers, computer wallpaper, a book cover and a poster. These have all been created using my own photography and then the software programs of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
The magazine covers were created to make the character of Amy Noakes look like a new celebrity. Therefore, I have placed her on the cover of 'Heat' and 'Closer', two popular celebrity orientated magazines.
I also placed Alyson Hannigan, as Willow Rosenberg, on the magazine cover as well. I did this because in my dissertation I describe Willow as “Hybrid” – showing the transitions of her character through stereotypes associated with women in sci-fi. Therefore, placing her on the cover links both of my projects together. The character of Willow has influenced this installation because I have seen how people react to a sweet character and how they react to the thrill of her going bad.
The computer wallpaper was created using my own photography and Adobe Photoshop. I created them because every celebrity website I have visited during my research has a section allowing the fans to download things such as wallpaper and images. Adding them to the Amy Noakes site helps to create the illusion that she is a real celebrity.
The Poster will be created using my own photography, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. The Poster will be printed and framed and placed inside the installation as the main image in a shrine to Amy Noakes. The Poster will be based on an original movie poster to foster the illusion that Amy was in that movie.
